Administrative Support – Technology

Thames Valley Communications (TVC) is dedicated to providing the best service for internet, VOIP and video entertainment in Southeastern Connecticut. In 2017, we have many new projects coming online and we are seeking the finest innovative and creative staff to continue to build on the best services for our customers. We are seeking a qualified and passionate candidate for this job opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support and maintains telecommunications operations software including setup of reports, new products; work orders; billing system; imports/exports from other sources; software upgrades
  • Performs required updates and system configuration tasks to ensure availability and high performance
  • Monitor/maintain data back-up systems
  • Create/maintain administrative and technical documentation for configuration, maintenance and system processes
  • Assist installation and configuration of computer software on servers and workstations
  • Provide technical support for end users with Microsoft Office/Outlook 365
  • Works with all departments to ensure the best customer care

Qualifications:

  • 1- 3 years experience with support for software operations
  • Experience working with personal computer hardware, software, systems, local area networks
  • Good organizational and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of business protocol and ethics
  • Works well as a team player
  • Professional, humble, and approachable; has a passion for excellence and change
  • Valid driver’s license

Sales Representative – Residential

This is an exciting opportunity for an outside sales professional to be part of the latest technology and entertainment world. This is an ideal opportunity for a person who enjoys on the go and out of the office. The primary mission for this person is to increase our customer base of new and former customers in Eastern Connecticut communities of Groton, Mystic, Stonington, Pawcatuck and Gales Ferry.

Positions are available to well qualified individuals who wish to promote and sell offerings to residential customers by knocking on every door within an assigned neighborhood. This person will communicate and build a rapport with customers; evaluate customers’ existing and potential product needs; increase customers understanding of TVC offerings, as well as, win the competitive advantage over other service providers.

Self-motivated, independent, goal oriented individuals find the freedom, entrepreneurial nature and unlimited earning potential in this position very rewarding.

To qualify, this person must meet the physical requirements of the job including, but not limited to, the ability to walk and/or travel door-to-door for considerable distances in all types of weather conditions, have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and a satisfactory driving record, and the use of a reliable personal vehicle.. This person must be able to work flexible evenings and weekends, work a variable schedule as necessary and have regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
